Four college students from Bengbu Medical University followed the call of the China Children and Teenagers' Fund (CCTF) to pair up with 20 rural children whose parents work away from home at Xuying Village of Lu'an, in East China's Anhui Province, on January 21.
The visit was a part of a charitable project launched by the CCTF to organize college students to provide rural children with love and care during the winter vacation.

During their visit, the university students presented schoolbags loaded with books and stationery prepared by the CCTF to the children. Together they made traditional Chinese lanterns and played interesting games. The students encouraged the kids to grow up healthy and study well in school.
Zheng Yuanxin, head of the four-member volunteer service team, said that she felt lucky and honored to participate in the charitable project. She hoped the public would pay more attention to the education and mental health of rural children and make joint efforts to guarantee their healthy growth.

The project has been undertaken by the CCTF in collaboration with local women's federations. They recruit college students to offer pairing-up assistance to rural children, present gifts to them, organize colorful activities for them and accompany the children to enjoy a happy and fulfilling winter vacation.

The project had received great support from B'in Music (Beijing) Co., Ltd and recruited over 300 college students, who had return to their hometowns in different provinces to carry out pairing-up assistance activities during this year's winter vacation.
